Leve is a mid-strength agave spirit made with 100% Blue Weber Agave in Jalisco, Mexico. It’s produced using the same agave, in the same region, and with the same traditional methods as tequila.
Because it’s bottled at 22% ABV — below the tequila standard of 35% set by the CRT — we can’t legally call it tequila.
Think of it as tequila, rebalanced for how we like to drink today.
Tequila is required to be over 35% ABV per the Mexican CRT. We wanted a spirit that keeps the flavour and character of tequila, but offers a lighter, more measured way to enjoy it.
At 22% ABV, Leve is strong enough to sip and mix, but easier to enjoy over a longer evening. Less intensity, fewer next-day effects.
Any way you like.
Leve is designed to be versatile — neat, over ice, in cocktails, or in shots. It works beautifully in Margaritas, Palomas, spritzes, espresso martinis, and whatever you come up with.
No. Leve isn’t tequila watered down.
Our master blender uses volcanic well water and precise carbon filtration to keep the agave character while softening the intensity. The result is a lighter-strength spirit with full flavour.
Leve is made in partnership with La Cofradía, a long-standing, family-run distillery in Jalisco that has produced premium tequila for more than 50 years.
Alongside our master blender, Jose Sanchez, they use traditional methods — brick oven cooking, natural fermentation, stainless steel and copper distillation — combined with a final filtration using volcanic spring water that highlights the agave’s natural character.
Yes. It’s made from 100% Blue Weber Agave, with no gluten-containing ingredients and no animal products used at any stage.
A 25ml serving of Leve has about 30 calories — less than half the calories of a typical 40% ABV tequila.
Yes. Leve brings the flavour and feel of a spirit, but with a gentler impact. It’s made for people who want to enjoy the moment without overdoing it. Always drink responsibly.
